*Low Self Discharge Rate Approximately 1 % per month at 25 C (77 F).
*Operate over a Wide Range of Temperatures from -40 F +160 F.
*Classified as "Non-Spillable Battery" for transport. Complies with DOT HMR49, Non-Hazardous Materials.

Seriously consider buying Concorde SunXtender AGM batteries if you need a maintenance free, sealed, AGM battery for back-up or off grid use. AGM batteries are considerably more expensive than comparable flooded batteries but I believe their benefits outweigh the cost difference. Just the time and work required to maintain flooded batteries prevents a lot of people from actually checking electrolyte levels, quickly resulting in a very expensive, worthless "pile of lead." With Concorde SunXtender AGM batteries you just install them and your set to go for years. A word of caution though, Concorde SunXtender, as well as any AGM or sealed lead-acid battery require a lower charging voltage and NO equalization charge. Each manufacturer varies but generally under NO circumstances should you exceed charge voltages of 2.4 volts per cell, that's a MAXIMUM. Actual bulk and absorption could be lower and float charge even lower.

Concorde SunXtender batteries are extremely well built and made to last. I personally have 3 8D size 12 volt batteries. One is pretty much worn out after years of hard service but still powers a small inverter when needed. Two of them are great and power my Xantrex DR1524 that I use for back-up power. Concorde batteries have never let me down.

Prices vary from approx. $75 to $500+
