ICP Battery Saver Pro 15 Watt

The ICP Battery Saver Pro 15 watt is an amorphous silicon module for charging small batteries. It is rated 1 amp at 15 volts. I have had mine for about a year, I got it with the kit which includes a basic 7 amp charge controller. I had it up all summer on my shed and it maintained two small 12 volt AGM batteries I keep for backup power. It features a polycarbonate frame and blocking diode so you don't lose battery power through the module when there's no sun.

I wish it had a standard junction box instead of the 10 feet of 16 gauge hard wired in. The plastic frame has very slightly discolored from being outside for a year. The more 'advanced' or serious solar user would probably opt for a standard glass, framed module, but the ICP it still functions perfectly and has never let me down.

The amorphous is good because it performs better in low light or partially shaded conditions compared to a standard crystalline silicon cell. These are ideal for maintaining batteries on campers or trailers that are parked for long periods of time, or for keeping electric gate batteries charged.
